5: Grappling With Emptiness

I think this whole COVID 19 is quite paradoxical: on the one hand, I’m empty; on the other hand, I like the emptiness. I feel confined, and at the same time I feel that I have more space than I ever did. I feel more connected to myself, to the earth, to the trees (I swear they speak to me, the trees – they are great conversationalists!), and I’m finding more gifts in life. I’m listening to the silence. And my body. And the gift is that I get to choose what I fill myself with. I realize that I like being empty, sitting with the emptiness.…I think we’re gonna come out better on the other side.
