Artist Statement

Ilana Lucas is a faculty member of Centennial College's English Department, where she teaches everything from theatre to technical report writing... for engineers.

She holds a BA in English and Theatre from Princeton University, and an MFA in Dramaturgy and Script Development from Columbia University. She has worked as an archivist for the household of Tony winners Phyllis Newman and Adolph Green, and has developed several shows for theatre festivals.

She is a Senior Writer at Mooney on Theatre. Her play "Let's Talk" won the 2019 Toronto Fringe 24-Hour Playwriting Contest.
