Artist Statement

Dear Patron,

Firstly, I must express my condolences for the extremely difficult situation you are in, made probably exponentially more challenging during... this surreal COVID-19 chapter.

Secondly, I thank you whole-heartedly for your interest and support in the lives and work of artists. This virus has taken a massive tole on the theatre community; one that thrives on bringing people together. I am an actor/singer/dancer who loves to photograph and collage. (I was in the middle of a US tour, which, fortuitously, happened to be performing in my hometown, Toronto, when things started to get cancelled.)

For this commission, I’ve assembled a digital collage, MASKED GUM BALL, using my photographs from New York, Colombia, and Mexico. May it provide you with at least a chuckle.
