Artist Statement
I don’t know who wrote the COVID Confession I received, but it could have been written by any number of my artist friends who have suddenly and unexpectedly found... themselves unemployed and who are self-isolating alone.
A vision of a woman playing on the beach and hugging the sun started to form in my mind and so I texted self-isolating friend and actor/dancer Laura Kyswaty to see if she was up for a socially distanced photo shoot. (I am way more than 2 metres away from Laura, I have an excellent zoom lens!).
